Is Thunder Mailer really good?

Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to grow your customer base and stay connected with them. However it can be tedious if you are doing it manually. If you are planning to automate your email marketing, it is important that you find the right software that matches your requirement and budget. There are dozens of email software and newsletter utilities in the market but not all of them offer the same features.
Today, we will discuss one fairly new bulk email software which I have been using lately – ThunderMailer (In addition to MailChimp).  A search on the Internet will show that they have been receiving lots of good reviews so far. Now, are these reviews biased? Is this software really that good?

What Is Thunder Mailer

Thunder Mailer is a bulk email software that is capable of sending emails to a large number of people with just a few clicks of your mouse. This means that you won’t have to send individual emails out to notify your customers of a new product that’s being launched or to inform your members of an upcoming meeting. Thunder Mailer will be able to help you blast your email to all those in your mailing list.

Why Thunder Mailer

There are quite a number of reasons why many small and medium sized businesses and organizations choose this software.

Downloadable

Unlike many auto responders that are solely online, Thunder Mailer is not web-based. It is a program that can be downloaded and installed onto your computer. This means that you can work on your email campaigns any where and anytime, even when you are offline! Of course, you will need Internet access when actually sending these emails out.

Pay once only

This software requires only a one-off payment. Yes, there are no setup fees nor are there any monthly fees, regardless of the number of emails you send out. In fact, once you have purchased the software, it is yours to download and keep forever.
How much does it cost? Thunder Mailer’s regular price is $69 but they are currently offering it at a special discounted price of $55.20 only. All you need to do is enter the coupon code HAPPY20when ordering.
(The coupon code works as of writing time. If you are interested be quick and use the coupon code before it expires)

Free version

Want to try it out first before buying? Sure, 100 Software (Thunder Mailer’s developers) has generously offer a free version that you can download to test it out. This free version has most of the features of the Pro version and does not come with nag screens.

Easy-to-use Message Editor

The Message Editor is where you create your email messages. It has a clean interface and is very user-friendly. If you are familiar with word processing programs like Microsoft Word, then you will have no problem navigating your way around the Message Editor. You can create professional looking emails within minutes.
There are many options to customize your emails. You can easily change the fonts, colors and backgrounds to suit your preferences.

SMTP Server option

In order to send out emails, you will need an SMTP server. Any standard SMTP servers will work with Thunder Mailer. These servers handle the sending and receiving of your emails. There are dozens of such servers available ranging from free ones (like Gmail and Yahoo Mail!) to premium ones (like SendGrid and MailGun). Do note that different SMTP server offers slightly different features.

Conclusion

Thunder Mailer is an alternative to auto responders like MailChimpand Aweber. It is not that these auto responders are not good. They have lots of advantages too. However, if you prefer a mass email software that is affordable and that also offers you multiple SMTP Server options and does not limit your number of subscribers or messages sent, then Thunder Mailer is an excellent choice. Do give it a try and judge for yourself.

  1. Huh~ I:ve never heard of this. You don’t mention … what about support after you buy it and download it? Is the support good, or are you one your own? It’s an interesting concept. I like that there:s no monthly fee. I may check this out. Thanks!

  3. I purchased Thundermailer, once I figured it out it worked great. I didn’t use it for a few weeks and now it says unregistered version and I can’t find anywhere to re enter activication key. All methods of contacting the company go unanswered. Anyone know how I can fix this and why the company is now mia?

  4. Malaysia Jobs

I have been using the registered version of Thundermailer for more than a year now. I am happy with the features and the speed of the email sending. The company also provides good after sales support.

I am using it mainly to send emails to my subscribers which I collected from my Malaysia jobs website. Good stuff.
