Lenovo launched its new smartphone on Friday at Hyderabad. This smartphone will be available on flipkart and will be sold in flash sales like the Xiaomi did in earlier.

Lenovo A7000 with 5.5 inch display will be competing the top smart phones like Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Xiaomi Mi 3, Micromax Yu Yureka, etc.

Build and Display

It design is very slim and weighs just 140grams which I found very light weight. It has flat profile on the edges. The back cover is removable where we can find the removable battery, Micro SD slot and obviously the Dual SIM slots. One of those slots has the ability to support 4G while the other can run 3G and 2G.

The Display is very attractive. The colors are just mind blowing. It’s having a 5.5 inch HD Display with IPS panel. Its having a viewing angle of 178. With 16 million colors it gives us a 1280 x 720 rich display which enhances playing HD movies and games.

Processor, RAM and Storage

Lenovo A7000 comes with a MediaTek MT6752m 64-Bit 1.5GHz True8Core processor. Yes! My dear you heard right 64-Bit octacore processor.

It’s packed with 2GB of RAM. According to Lenovo it leaves Xiaomi MI 3, Mi4, Yu Yureka and many other devices back in the AnTuTu benchmark scores. But after we personally tested in AnTuTu it was just below Mi3.

Coming to Storage part its packed with 8GB of internal storage. Which I found less compared to its competitors. It can be expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

Camera

Lenovo comes with an 8MP rear camera with Autofocus, HDR, Auto beautification, Triaxial leveling and 5 snap modes for easy selfies. There’s a LED flash too. The main thing is the 5MP front camera which helps us to take HD selfies.

The main thing we loved about Camera is the smart auto focus. It was very fast compared to other smartphones.

Operating System, DOLBY ATMOS and other Features

Its packed with the latest android OS i.e., Lollipop 5.0. This phone is having its own custom UI popularly known as Vibe UI. And it just looks like android vanilla version with lollipop packed in it. 😛
The Biggest thing we loved this smartphone is sound feature i.e., DOLBY ATMOS support. We listened some songs which were created using this technology and too our surprise this feature was very good more than our expectations.

Hey! Let me tell you something more about it. Today in this advanced world we are having many high end technologies. For instance we are having technologies like 4K ultra, 3D and many things for video. But there’s no development in sound technologies in our movies. So considering this thing DOLBY had done a great remarkable thing and introduces DOLBY ATMOS to us. This technology is present only in latest technology. But Lenovo A7000 is the  world’s first phone to support it.

Battery and Connectivity

Its packed with 2900 may battery which is expected to last more than a day on 3G usage (16 hours) and on 2G usage ( 39 hours). The battery is Li-Ion and its removable.

Coming to connectivity its having 4G LTE which the company claims to give you a maximum speed of 150 Mbps. Its having WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and also supports WiFi hotspot. It comes with Google Chrome as preinstalled browser.

Price and Availability

Ah! All these features are packed in one smartphone and its priced at Rs.8,999 only.

Its available only on Flipkart. They had planned to sell Lenovo A7000 in flash sales. The registrations had stared already. And the registered users can buy it on 15th of this month at 2PM.

Final Verdict

Really we loved this smartphone. Hope it gives a good competition to it’s competitors. The main thing to be conspired in it is the 4G LTE, 2GB Ram 1.5 GHz octa core processor, HD 1280×720 Display and the last but not least is The Dolby ATMOS. Wait! For all these things you have to pay just Rs.8,999 which is nothing when compared with its competitors. Onething which made us sad is its internal storage which is just 8GB. But don’t worry it can be expanded up to 32GB 🙂
